OHMNI

OHMNI is a Los Angeles-based experimental band formed in 2013. Built around a rotating lineup of musicians and collaborators, the group’s personnel, instrumentation, and sound often shift from project to project. This fluid structure allows OHMNI to move freely between various genres, such as industrial, rock, metal, hip-hop, rap, electronic, darkwave, experimental, and more, without being confined to a single genre or traditional band format.

Creative experimentation has remained central to OHMNI since its formation. Alongside conventional instruments, the band incorporates synthesizers, electronics, sampling, unconventional recording techniques, modified equipment, and custom-built circuit-bent instruments, including its signature creation known as “The Baby Head.”

Beyond the music exists the larger world of OHMNI—an evolving story built around its central characters, Zero, One, and Omega. Their world is one of strange technologies, experiments, alternate dimensions, and unexplained phenomena. The OHMNI universe is built around an ever-expanding mythology that connects directly to the band’s music and imagery. Told through music videos, short films, found footage, artwork, and other media, the narrative develops piece by piece rather than through a traditional linear story. Recurring themes of transformation, control, identity, ritual, technology, and perception run throughout the OHMNI universe, leaving the audience to discover how its different pieces connect.

Rather than approaching each release through a fixed genre or formula, OHMNI allows its sound, musicians, instrumentation, and creative direction to evolve from project to project. The result is a continually changing body of work connected by sonic experimentation, heavy instrumentation, electronic textures, distinctive visual imagery, and the expanding world of OHMNI.
